Funding Gifted EducationGifted education is in immediate danger of losing state funding. That will have a direct impact on gifted services and programs in CCISD. Cuts in state education funding translate into cuts in CCISD GT services and programs. Check out Dr. Laura Mackay's PowerPoint presentation from our April 19 CASE meeting to see what you can do. The most important thing you can do as a parent of a gifted student is to write your state legislators! A brief note is best (good news for us time-pressed parents!). |

What is CASE?CASE© was formed by a group of parents who met at a Texas Association for Gifted and Talented (TAGT) conference held in Houston back in the summer of 1994. The members shared a common vision... to provide parents and supporters of gifted education within the Clear Creek Independent School District (CCISD) with an organized support group that would work with the educators and administration at the local and state levels to create a better understanding by all of the academic, social, and emotional needs of the gifted and to support the development of programs and educational opportunities within the district.
